Short version: no accounts, no advertising, no tracking cookies of our own. This page lists exactly what is processed and why.

Browsing the site
The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies and we do not currently use analytics. If we add privacy-friendly analytics or any other service that processes personal data, this page will be updated first.
Grow Journal and saved settings
The Grow Journal stores your entries only in your browser (local storage) on your device. Nothing is uploaded to us. Clearing your browser data deletes it; use the backup function to keep a copy. Some tools remember simple preferences such as units in your browser the same way.
AI tools
- What is sent: for the AI Photo Agronomist, the photo you choose (resized in your browser, which also removes location data), the species you pick and an optional note; for the AI Grow Consultant, your question and optional species.
- Who processes it: the request goes to our server and is forwarded to an AI model provider (through OpenRouter) to produce the answer. Do not include personal information in photos or notes.
- What we keep: we do not store your photo or question. We keep the text of the generated answer for up to 7 days, keyed by a hash, so identical requests are not processed twice. To enforce fair-use limits we keep short-lived counters keyed by a salted hash of your IP address (not the address itself), which expire within about a day.
- Bot protection: the AI tools use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots; Turnstile may process browser and network signals for that purpose.
If you write to hello@mushroomsgrowing.com, we receive your message and address through email forwarding and use them only to reply and, if relevant, correct the site. We do not add you to any mailing list.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the EU/UK), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to processing. Because we do not keep accounts or profiles, there is usually nothing to look up, but you can write to hello@mushroomsgrowing.com and we will answer.
